Fabric Information

The fabric information displayed here encompasses all fabrics used by Be Up and are alphabetically displayed.

AMNI

Our high technology fabric uses Polyamide 6.6 thread, a very intelligent, functional and thin air textured yarn.

Bacteriostatic – different from most textiles that kill all bacteria, this thread is able to control the excessive microorganism proliferation (including odor) without changing the natural bacterial flora balance present in the human organism. This characteristic is inherent in the thread, so it will renew itself constantly, which is not what happens with most products, that use a superficial coat application that washes away after a few uses.
Fully breathable – the thread is thinner so it creates more spaces between the different threads. Therefore it increases hot air circulation for the outer surface, avoiding excess wetness, maintaining ideal thermal balance and quick drying.
Has UV resistant molecular structure – when used properly, it provides UV protection against UVA and UVB emissions.
Compression garment – it allows better dispersion of lactic acid, which reduces muscle stress and recovery time after exercise. Compression also increases blood microcirculation, skin elasticity and reduces the amount of cellulite and signs of skin ageing.
Offers excellent comfort, easy care, touch, functionality and look.
4-way stretch – fabric stretches both vertically and horizontally enhancing mobility and comfort.
Holds shape and color fast – allows greater durability with the same look and feel.

Cotton French Terry

Cotton French Terry is used mainly for Be Up's leisure items. It does not possess highly technical properties as it is intended more for comfort than physical activity. Be Up's French Terry is imported from Peru.

Composed of a cotton and spandex blend, it allows for comfortable fit and shape retention.
Breathable fabric.
Pre-shrunk for perfect fit.
Soft touch.
Color fast.
Thicker than most of our fabrics, it allows for warmth and a perfect outer layer.

Performance French Terry

A new and exciting fabric developed especially for Be Up! This fabric combines the benefits of performance threads like supplex and polyester with the luxurious comfortable feel of French terry on the inside.

Moisture wicking – transports water molecules away from the body to the outer layer of the fabric to allow for faster drying, more comfort and breathability to the user.
UV resistant – when used properly, it provides UV protection against UVA and UVB emissions.
Compression garment – it allows better dispersion of lactic acid, which reduces muscle stress and recovery time after exercise. Compression also increases blood microcirculation, skin elasticity and reduces the amount of cellulite and signs of skin ageing.

Performax and Supplex

Supplex and Performax have a very similar fabric benefits, both constructed out of polyamide yarn.

Water loving membranes – transport water molecules to the surface of the fabric, where it can evaporate easily giving the fabric more breathability and faster drying time.
Microporous membranes – the pores are too small for rainfall water to penetrate the fabric but wide enough to allow the passage of sweat from the body giving more comfort and breathability to the user.

Polyester

Our polyester fabrics are used primarily in our active wear and yoga items, which require greater performance benefits, while still maintaining the soft feel and touch of cotton.

Air Texturized - The thinner thread creates more spaces between the different threads. Therefore it increases hot air circulation for the outer surface, avoiding excess wetness, maintaining thermal balance and quick drying.

Viscose is used mainly for Be Up's leisure items. It does not possess highly technical properties as it is intended more for comfort than physical activity. Be Up's viscose fabric is imported from Peru.

Blended with spandex, it allows for comfortable fit and shape retention.
Breathable fabric.
Pre-shrunk for perfect fit.
Soft touch.
Color fast.
